Let us get to answer for “When”.
If my body aches, if there is pain in my knee, if my ankle is swollen, if my shoulder clicks when I try to reach shelves above my head, then how am I supposed to move?
In conditions as above, our body tells us through pain,
“There is some problem in this part. Please look at me. Please take care of
me.” In such situations we should not move that particular region and consult
appropriate medical advice.
Many a times REST is advised in initial stages of any
medical problem. But after this initial stage MOVEMENT is advised.
So answer to “When”: after
medical advice and under supervision of an experienced Physiotherapist.
